As recently Microsoft paused the October update of Windows 10 due some complaints of data loss and other bugs. Some users has complaint that their data has been get deleted after update. It also break the Windows store app and Edge browser for some users. Then Microsoft immediately paused this buggy windows update for all users.
Microsoft also announces that will check the system compatibility before applying new updates. If there will be any incompatibility then updates can not be installed. Now finally Microsoft has resumed rolling out the Windows 10 October 2018 update on 13 November 2018.
Though Microsoft said that they have properly checked the newer updates and have found no issues in re-releasing the update. But some errors are still there. See some issues reported by the users and Microsoft
- PCs having AMD Radeon HD2000 or HD4000 series may face problem with Microsoft Edge tabs. Tabs stops working in Edge. Some users get error “INVALID_POINTER_READ_c0000005_atidxx64.dll”. Some experience performance issues with the lock screen or the ShellExperienceHost.
- There is compatibility issue with the Trend Micro Security.
- Problem with reconnecting the mapped drive.
