A customer’s husband is deceased and she does not know his password for the administrator’s account.  We cannot install or make changes until we can get into his account.  I tried using cmd to reset the husband’s password but received the system error 5. There is an Administrator account but I cannot activate it unless I know the husband’s password.

For this error 5, you need to run the CMD in administrative privileges. Right click on the CMD icon and click on “Run as administrator” then run the command you want.
